The Galaxy S4 Mini is compact version of its 2013 flagship namesake from Samsung. Released in July 2013, the device is a mid-range model sporting a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8MP & 1.9MP main & rear camera combo, and 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor.
It’s body is very similar to the Galaxy S4’s polycarbonate design. Android 4.4.2 KitKat currently runs the Galaxy S4 Mini and if you want to get the most out of its system, gaining root access is an ideal move provided you have sound knowledge of flashing third party ROMs on Samsung devices.
As you expect, Chainfire already have the Galaxy S4 Miniroot packages available in his website. Instructions are also given there but if you want to follow a step-by-step guide, check out what we have below.

Make sure that your Galaxy S4 Mini is at least 50% charged and that you backup important data.
Enable USB Debugging on your device by going to Settings > About > then tap Build number for about seven times until an alert saying “You are now a developer” appears. After that, go to Developer Options then toggle on USB Debugging.
